  The experience was awesome! The king sized bed in the sleeping area had wonderful bedding (mattress and linens), there was great lighting in the room (no 60 watt bulbs) and a comfortable sitting area; the bathroom was also well lit with excellent towels and robes. The best part however was the staff-- everyone from check-in to concierge to elevator operators were the most friendly, courteous and welcoming that we have ever encountered in New York. The Pierre is a 5 star, world class hotel!
